About Taisha

Picture

Yoga

Though Taisha has taught yoga since 1999, she considers herself a “beginner” and lifelong student who especially loves sharing her passion for the yoga journey with other “beginners”—including those new to yoga or just open to learning something new about themselves with every practice.

Brand new and continuing students alike benefit from learning in the supportive, noncompetitive setting she creates. Taisha focuses on sharing poses, breathing and awareness of mind and body that are necessary to build a safe and enduring practice. Students learn to grow into poses gradually, safely and mindfully. By weaving the philosophic lessons of yoga into the physical practice, she also helps her students take the lessons practiced on the mat into their daily lives.
“When we bring awareness to movement, actions and thoughts, we WAKE up. Like when we’re children and everything is freshly new, we grow by leaps and bounds. I aim to help others find that vitality through safe and engaging fundamentals they can practice for a lifetime.”

–Taisha Weber, Owner and Instructor
Taisha is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) through the Yoga Alliance whose own journey includes many classes, workshops and retreats.  She has had the privilege of studying with fantastic teachers from a variety of different styles in the Midwest, California and since 2007, here in New England.  She especially credits Kate and Jim Coughlin at Downtown Yoga in CA where she completed her RYT-200 yoga training with introducing her to the precise teaching of Iyengar yoga and its beautiful lineage.

In New England she has had the privilege of learning from many wonderful teachers, including: Patricia Walden’s Iyengar teaching, Carol Legro in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Amy Rolfs for Restorative Yoga training, Liz Owens on the marriage of eastern and western thought to create a wholistic yoga practice and David Emerson on Trauma-informed yoga instruction.  Her own ongoing practice and interactions with students are another rich source of learning.

Taisha’s training and practice drew her to prioritizing students who desire a safe space for gentle, mindful hatha yoga.  She also offers classes featuring restorative yoga, meditation, breathwork and philosophy. A married mother of three children, Taisha welcomes others to join her in embracing all of life’s ups and downs from the still point that yoga provides.

Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine

Picture
In addition to wellness derived from yoga, meditation and breathwork, Taisha offers the groundbreaking healing modality, Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine (SAEM).  Desda Zuckerman, the founder and lineage holder of SAEM, describes the work this way:
The Practitioner assesses the health and vitality of your subtle energy structure and looks at what impact any malfunction, debris, or misalignment has had in your life. It can be compared to bodywork for your soul because the location where an issue chooses to lodge tells the story of why and how that issue has played out in your life.

Taisha is trained in working with The Sacred Anatomy, the seven systems of subtle and electromagnetic energy that makes up your “whole self.”  SAEM practitioners work in partnership with clients to easily and gently shift emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical blocks, malfunctions and holdings.

After experiencing and healing through this work over many years, Taisha finally embarked on becoming a practitioner herself.  Her great joy is in sharing the empowerment and vitality that SAEM offers.  She is also one of the inaugural Sacred Anatomy Academy Faculty authorized to teach The Edge Express.  This three-hour workshop teaches participants how to establish powerful, life changing  energetic boundaries .  These boundaries help us avoid inappropriate intermeshing with others, increases stamina, and improves our sense of joy and healthy connection.
