Waking Up
More than 25 years ago I began teaching yoga, helping others to connect with their innermost selves. Then, after a severe brain injury, I discovered Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine (SAEM) and I woke up to my whole self. SAEM helped me to address not just the physical manifestations of my injury, but many other hindering layers of old stuff that kept me in pain and suffering.
So What is It?
We’re all aware of our physical body, but SAEM has taught me that we’re actually much more than that. We also have a large energy structure which organizes the whole anatomical map of our soul, including mental, emotional and many other parts. Just like the physical body, when our lives are impacted by stresses, traumas and such, our energy structure can also be adversely impacted.
SAEM practitioners assist people in waking up to their entire structure. When we learn to care for our whole self, the resulting ease and joy are life-changing. SAEM helps us clear and align the entire structure of blockages and damage so that we can thrive. We identify and discard old thought patterns and limiting beliefs. And we learn to interact with the world in a healthier way, so that we hold clear personal boundaries without the judgements and attachments that bind and cripple us.

Desda Zuckerman, the founder and lineage holder of SAEM, has been mapping and developing the understanding of this system for more than 40 years. I’m part of a group of teachers and students who all follow the same protocols for restoring order to the system in order to better document it, and to share its benefits.
